WOW this will make you laugh

So, done around 900 miles and the thing is absolutely mental on fuel. Even driving miss daisy I cant believe its so gutsy.

Ahhh but wait before you all start uttering the usual if you can afford the car blah blah. I was playing with the heater controls yesterday as I could not understand when asking for 22 deg the middle and outer vents blew freezing cold air but the cabin always felt crazy hot.

Now for the funny bit

The rear cabin was set flat out 36 deg (I think, full up anyway) and the front 22 deg as a result the heater was flat out trying to keep the rear hot and the AC was also flat out keeping the front cool.

Before I sorted the heater I got 150 miles for £50 (no playing) Xmas shopping with the wife so slow drive. 60 ish 15.7mpg calculated with fuel used.

Now heating / AC all set as it should be.

Put in £50 last night and done 89 miles so far the computer is still showing 190miles to empty and the fuel gauge has not moved. If i get 250 will be 26 mpg. I would be happy with 200 miles

I don't mind putting fuel in when nailing it but I expect over 20 when driving normally

looks like I am going to get 250 ish from this £50 ( I prob wont I will end up playing) that's an incredible difference. Just shows you the difference power consumption makes.

Paul you have a button labelled "sync" this will set the whole cars heating the same for front and rear ( I'm not saying your dumb by the way lol just In case you wasn't aware) and if you only use the drivers side temp knob it'll adjust all of them the same.

Before mine was jacked I used to fill mine once a week full to the top, generally about £75 and it would say range of 310 miles but I'd only get about 220 miles before I'd need refilling. My daily runs were just 6 miles to work and 6 back in general traffic with the occasional squirt. On the motorway it was a different story. I went down to London from Brum and I got there and back on half a tank with the Average showing as 28mpg.

Easy mistake Paul, but it won't account for much extra fuel. 2 mpg max I suspect.

cool did not know about the sync button. 220 for 75 is ok doing short runs I can easy cope with that. 28 is what my M5 did on a easy run. Cruise set at 70mph for 150miles was the best it ever did.

yeah sounds like something else - not sure the heater/AC is to blame entirely :(

I had an RS7 for two tanks worth of fuel and with mixed driving (plenty of thrashing it for sure) I was still consistently getting 20+ mpg. I was going to man-maths the wife with 'look how much better on fuel it is than my rs4!' but that didn't wash.

20+ is a bit of a dream at the moment. See how it goes

nailing it I can easy see 8 or 9 which is fine but cruising really struggles to get above 20. Although my wife did get 26 one day. Maybe my miss daisy driving is not so miss daisy lol

I am sure my elation will be short lived by the time the tank is empty.

I wonder how much of an improvement I will see once de-catted etc?

Haha, the good old man maths, its the only maths I am any good at

Still waaaaay better than a C5 RS6. The wife gets an average of about 11mpg.
Hope you guys with the C7s look after them, cause in about 5 years time I'll possibly be looking to buy one

Chunk you can probs buy my stolen one off Slovanian eBay
You'll need a few spanners though to bolt it all back together again. Lol

Yea Chunk unfortunately it is getting a bit bad. If I hadn't just spent 20 large on complete make over of the house(WIFES nesting mode) I'd pack up out of Brum.
