1000bhp?

So,
Jon Olsson made 1000bhp but car got totalled and no-one really knows what he did
Selling my 800bhp GTR is hurting. GTR was too focused and single minded. I am after the same but a family car that can go shopping and take the dogs for a walk ( not literally) 560bhp is SLOOOOOW.
Big turbos, no CATs and remap 1000bhp? Anyone looking at the same or am I just a bit daft??

You'd need to beyond this which is 800 I'm sure sport mile have made 1000 from a c7

I understand the cooling is a huge issue with the TTEs in between the banks, so until they sort that out 1000bhp isn't going to work for long.

800bhp. Could not spend cash on turbos to "only" get 800.
1000bhhp minimum or nothing lol.
From what I read 750BHP with only exhaust and map is possible. 1000bhp with turbos sounds pretty easy??

From a technical point of view I agree, what a stupid place to stick 2 turbos. BUT Standard turbos running 1.2bar of boost and uprated running 1.2 bar of boost heat will be the same. So huge power gains are to be had with no increase in turbo inlet and exit temperature.
going to be interesting

The stock charge cooler is holding things up with the hybrid turbos at the moment.
Other tuners have ditched the charge cooler in favour a new intercooler to get more horsepower, I'm sure there's an APR RS7 running over 1000 at the moment on hybrids and E85 and standard engine with updated big intercooler.
The MRC800 car is at early stages of testing and can't progress any further until they sort out the CC/IC.

Mrc will hit 1000 soon I think on a c7. The turbos on the car are only stage 1 I think they are different to the ones that were on the Jon Olson car.

Just take a look at the size off the charge cooler. It's seriously restrictive in flow of airmass needed to support over 800 and cooling
Jon ollsons car had a custom upgrade charge cooler fitted. I was never shown a dyno of claims I see In media
The compressor and turbine can support 900hp + but as with any turbo it's a link in the chain and we await the right package hopefully

I cant be RS'd with E85. 1000bhp on normal fuel (98 Ron) is the goal
No doubt MRC will get there but I like the DIY approach.
Charge cooler Vs intercooler is an age old debate. Don't really care which one wins more interested in the results.

That's correct as more easy thing to do is go Ic vs CC
APR Tuned car wasn't a hybrid car but a EFR turbo for sure, same as SPORTMILE's I think, both on duel side mounts IC

Can't see mounting any different tbh. It's not turbos that are the issue as mentioned

Correct mrc had our TTE8xx turbos for the 800 result. Basically bigger compressors with clipped stock sized turbine balanced to higher standard
Priced at 2899.00 euro inc vat for pair of reconditioned and upgraded units

Good price but would need more than 800 to be worth buying. 750bhp seems achievable with decat and map, 3k is a lot for 50bhp. I put turbos on my GTR that could flow enough for 900bhp for the same price. They had larger turbine and compressor.
do you supply something with the potential get over 900bhp?

That's what he's said, the turbos on the jon Olson car are bigger than the Mrc units. The potential is there with the right supporting mods, bonus is no forged engine being required. Unlike the Gtr at those power levels

Yup well spotted. too much falling down water last night lol
That's what put me off the GTR in the end. Ripping the engine back out and forging it. Not easy or cheap.
