Will be interesting which route turbos wise and other mods to make there projected figure. Guess it will be an upgrade package they will sell.

Sounds great.

Charge cooler is tiny that's defiantly going to be an issue. Look forward to their results.

So, what you going to do with 1000hp?

We all know that Olson's car never made anywhere near 1000bhp, whats a shame is that this wasn't proven either way.

Then, when you get the 1000bhp, what torque are you aiming for?

Will the box and drivetrain take this and if so for how long?

I am watching all these threads with avid interest as to what will happen, in relationship to the developments and cannot wait to see the first 1000bhp car do a launch control.

Cheers

Good question. The ZF has a torque sensing function to enable it to protect the gearbox so I am guessing that the gearbox ECU will feed back a message to the Engine ECU that the 'box is being over-torqued and revs will be cut accordingly. I reckon you may get some awesome in-gear performance in the higher gears but you will have problems in first and reverse.

Jon ollsons car had a custom upgrade charge cooler fitted. I was never shown a dyno of claims I see In media

The compressor and turbine can support 900hp + but as with any turbo it's a link in the chain and we await the right package hopefully

Cost for the above turbos??

So your TTE8xx turbos (Priced at 2899.00 euro inc vat for pair of reconditioned and upgraded)will do around 800bhp is that the turbos flat out or is it the flow restriction choking them?

thanks
Missed this

Thing is all tests on TTE8XX been made on stock charge cooling and we know 100% is a restiction in flow and cooling at this level so im certain theres more in the turbos.

I was in talks with a certain tuner and he said by changing the charge cooler for a differant solution he made near 200PS no other changes.

Its early days for this platform look at the TTE850+ C6 Turbos.. same turbos some years back no one did 900.. now 1k broken.

I see this all the time on all platforms, tuners need hone there skills and all the hardware around the turbos need be optomised to see what the turbos can do and then theres the actual motor to look at.. headwork, pistons so on

I think like my old GTR I will request torque is limited to around 1100nm that is enough (theoretically) to make 1034bhp @ 6700rpm

The more I have research them more I think my car will not likely get to 1000bhp anytime soon.

My plan in the short term is max out the TTE850 turbos.

1. 3" catless downpipes
2. 3" front pipes connecting to milltek 2.75" system
3. Custom made 2.5" inlet pipes ( getting built in February)
3. 3" dual air filter / intake pipes reducing to 2.5" into turbos
4. High flow fuel pumps. Cant find much info on this yet
5. Uprate Charge cooler. Not sure where to go with this yet.

should be fun

on your TTE850 turbo what size is the turbo inlet?? Same as standard? I see there is a shoulder on the inlet of the standard where the inlet pipe seats into. is this the same on the 850? I may need to redo my custom inlets to accommodate the bigger turbos?

Can you tell me the inlet size or is that a secret until I buy them? I am sure I can easy mod the custom pipes to fit but would be handy to know so I can get the intakes made accordingly.

So thats a bigger heat exchanger/radiator and an extra coolant reservoir for the stock Charge Cooler then. It's pricey at £2k but I wonder if a combination of this PLUS a bigger Forge (or similar) Charge Cooler would be an ideal solution for 1000hp?
