Hello, anybody here use or used the 3m protection that avoid that little rocks damage the paint? Or when you open the door...

I was thinking about it, but decided against after having a talk with the chap that did the new car detail for me. He said that there wasn't a 3M stencil for the RS6 front, so it would have to be adapted and with all the sharp angles and edges it would be a nightmare to fit (he is a 3M registered fitter and did loads of other cars)

I had a full front kit fitted my RS4 from new (well, 300 miles old). Professional install means you can't see it from more than 10ft away, and when closer can only see it on the bonnet because there's a reduction in sharpness of reflections. You'd never know it was fitted anywhere else even on the closest inspection. Bloody awesome stuff. Avoid the cheap knockoff stuff. 3M VentureShield is the way forward.

I have this done on my RS6

Drayke Fields fitted it, paint protection film (PPF) as he calls it, think it's a SunTek film he uses, it's awesome

I've had it since day 1, 3M qualified technician and machine cut templates. He does P1's 918s and LaFerrari's so its definitely good enough for me. He even made these thin cuts that go on the edge of all the doors where they bang into stuff. Even did the side mirror and inlay of the door handles where your nails and rings etc put a lot of wear. added a small cut where you slide things in and out of the boot/rear bumper.
