I've got one of these, only problem is your tempted to put a live shell in it instead of a blank. Would be proper justice though!

"The cocking piece should be positioned upwards." Sage advice, applicable in so many scenarios.

I drive an A8 during the week so the RS doesn't move much. Whilst parked for a couple of days I put a disc lock on it- they should be put off by it.

Other things are taking my time atm but I intend getting an aftermarket Clifford alarm installed with intellistart for cold winter mornings...

It's actually a nice bit of kit. Just need to screw the siren box to the wall or I might just leave it in the hallway and switch it all on. Job done!!!

Well I did use to work for Toad PLC. I do try to think like a thief and what would put them off even trying.

To be honest I've got a Brand new Toad Ai606 Cat 1 alarm in the garage that I'm gonna stick on it as well when I've got a spare 4 hours.

As long as there's plenty of Visual warnings then hopefully they'll not bother.

Good work on the protection. Like the idea of having something the scrotes can't deactivate. Assume you would just deactivate the "house" alarm before you get into the car and put the pir in the glovebox?

Yep that's right. It has its own remote control.
Best £99 I've spent in a long time.

No Boff this alarm is totally independent of my already installed burglar alarm. This Yale one is just for the car. The main house alarm is an all singing all dancing one.

Why not put the alarm bell box in the car under a seat? That way, as soon as the detector has sensed an intrusion, the interior of the car will be filled with 120Db of pure ear-splitting sound and you will still be able to hear it from your bedroom and know something is up. Unless the scrotes have thought to bring ear defenders with them, you can be sure they will decline the opportunity of jumping in the car.
I once installed a car alarm on that basis; working on the principle that people very rarely respond when they hear a car alarm sound, I installed the siren under the parcel shelf. I tested it once - ooh,it was loud in there.

How loud is siren on the standard RS6 alarm? I know the B7 alarm won't wake you even if it was in bed with you, so have the Audi alarms got any better over the years?
