I thought I'd see how the RS6 performs in standard form so this morning I stuck a racelogic performance box to the car and done a few runs. Apart from Audi telling us that it does 0-100kmh (62.14mph) in 3.9secs and the optional top speeds, there's not a lot more to go on.

My car is brand new, 65 reg with little miles on the clock. Road was completely flat and temperature 14.5c. I used launch control ( ESP off/Dynamic/Revs at 2600, oil temp 90c+)

I've tested a lot of Audi's in the past and found their performance stats to be conservative. The RS6 is no exception.


0-60/100mph... (On vbox display) 1ft roll selection OFF.

So Audi quote 3.9s 0-100kmh, in reality the car is doing it quite a bit quicker than that. 3.48secs and for us in the UK, 0-60mph in 3.27secs

Wonder what the figures will be like if tuned

A good set of figures and benchmark for a completely standard brand new car in mild conditions. It may go slightly quicker than this come Nov/Dec with 0c and below temperatures and more running in.

I will see if I can get it to the dragstrip to see what it will do over the 1/4 and I'll also be testing vmax at some point either on the Autobahns or Bruntingthorpe.

brilliant Leo,having driven all sorts of high performance cars, my instinct told me my C7 is the quickest ever,how do they do that with such a heavy car ??

Quality posting. 3.27 seconds to 60 mph stock and barely run in? That's nuts. And especially impressive from a torque-converter ZF rather than a DSG. Does it bag 60/62 in second gear? I know the [DSG] S6 doesn't

It's over a second down on a tuned C6 0-100, but that'll be the standard limit on torque. It's going to be a monster when mapped.

Over a second down? Not sure I compute. Tuned C6 does not do it in less than 2.2!

Very impressive figures. Out of curiosityLeo-RS, what brand & RON of fuel were you running during the test? As you say it will only get quicker as winter approaches and the ambient drops

I have a video which I can't post for obvious reasons but it looks to change into 3rd around 55/56mph.

I was mightily surprised at how brutal the car is off launch

A tuned C6 does 0-100 in 6.6??? In your dreams maybe.
