Service book

Whatever happened to the traditional service book that you got stamped. Apparently my car comes with the new service book which is a non-stamp one! Is this the case with everybody elses car?

Think Audi still do one. Although they'll probably charge for it!
Does make you wonder what happens when you sell privately and the buyer comes to view on a Sunday afternoon. I got a book with my S4 but only the most recent service print out. If there had been no service book with the Audi stamps I would have had trouble selling it

Same on the F10 M5.
Service History is stored within the computer & accessed via the iDrive. Not sure if their's a physical service book in the car, but she's going in next week for an Oil Service so i'll check then. I guess this eliminates the possibility of fake Service Books/stamps.
