I have a friend that recently bought a late 2013 pre fl in Panther fully loaded bar ramics. He has had some issues with it and the local dealer don't seem to be very knowledgable and willing to cooperate. Please have a look at the problems and chime in if you have had experience or know the solution.
- pretty strong fuel smell- comes and goes, my friend does not have a clue when and why. Dealer says the car has had a fuel line replaced under a recall and that all RS6s have a fuel smell from time to time
- faint grinding noise from steering column - same response from dealer
- metaling clunk from boot area - happens very rarely sound like a piece of metal pipe is loose in the boot area - no clue here
- strong vibration of the brake pedal - happens when brakes are warmed up and being used - conclusion: warped disks which they refuse to change under warranty because they claim the disks are a consumable
- some knock knock from the rear suspension (DRC car) and an oily rear damper - dealer: oily damper is ok as long as the drc hydraulic fluid pressure is not below a certain threshold dunno if they measured it at all.
- a jerk or more like a small pause and a lunge forward when the car is downshifting in S mode. Especially noticeable in the 3rd to 2nd down-change. He was told they have a software update for that.
Any help is appreciated, Thanks
