"Sport differential: system fault" turned up on the instrument cluster.

Dealer recommended calling VW roadside assistance, who came to my office. Cue much sarcasm and ribbing from my co-workers as the car is lifted up on jacks with the bonnet open etc.

Anyway, seems to have been an issue with a loose connection to the diff pressure sensor or something. Connector was re-seated and so far no recurrence.

I hope it stays this way as it's not a great start to my first relationship with an Audi.

So it wasn't a loose connection and I now don't have my car while they try to work out what is wrong...

And... 4 days later I finally have my car back. A sensor on the diff and a couple of wiring connectors have been replaced.

No recurrence of the fault yet! At least my dealer has been very good throughout this experience.

Good to hear it's sorted and the experience hasn't been too bad.

Hopefully not a common problem.
