Hi guys. A question. And before anyone incriminates themselves please don't elaborate where you have done whatever speed if you have done so in the UK.

Has anyone with a non derestricted RS taken their car past the supposed 155mph???

I ask this as a friend and I were having a discussion and we quite possibily think its a myth that they restrict our cars.

A couple of years ago I owned a B7 RS4 my07 and I actually took said car to 174mph (not in the uk) it was still going quite strong and probably gone on to a greater speed but my ballsack started to sweat a bit much and I backed off. I was only the second owner of the RS4 and I know for a fact it was not derestricted so question as is. What happened to the 155 restricter???

As Audi charge a shed load of money just to up the speed limiter from 155 I suspect that the limit really is there - otherwise those who have paid for the higher limit would feel cheated and want their money back.

My RS4 hit the '155 limiter' at an indicated 170mph, which was a gps 163
I've also gone well past the 155 in a 'restricted' C7 RS6 too, but didn't get much past, so can't comment on where the limiter might be other than it wasn't at 155

Isn't is common knowledge that the RS range actually has a speed limiter set at 167 instead of the stated 155? Mine stopped at 170 indicated (so 167 real most likely) before being remapped.

Speed limiters are crap, get it delimited!

According to Audi the RS6 is electronically limited as standard to 155mph, the Dynamic Package increases this to 174mph, the Dynamic Package Plus to 189mph.

Opinions vary I'd say so far.
I've only done 1400 miles so far so not gonna try to fly just yet but try I shall.
@ suprsi not really bothered at beating the land speed record so if it is limited then it'll stay that way. Lol

i have an Dynamic Package Plus rs6.. my top speed was 306 km/h - 190 mph...

I tested out a non de restricted ar this morning and hit the limiter at an indicated 167, which was a gps 164

I've found that to be the case with the restricted Audi cars I've driven too. The 155mph is a myth, two TTRS's, an RS4 and an S3 I've maxed out at the same 167 before tuning de-restricted them. Lots of others have reported the same, 167 seems to be the magic number on restricted cars. 270kmh = 167.7mph, clearly where Audi have set their limit.
