New RS6

Post by Bamf » Fri Mar 20, 2015 9:01 pm

finally picked up the RS6 this afternoon and what a car. Only had a quick drive previously and after spending this afternoon in it its better than I remember.
It's the perfect all round car for me. I can fit everything in it that goes with a young family and a dog and still have the enjoyment of driving it. It drives around town and short journeys like a dream. But open up the taps and it's a total different beast.
I'm trying to refrain from stamping on the loud peddle to hard until it's run in. It's a battle of will power.

Sorry about the quality of the picture. I will try and get some better ones tomorrow. If I can stop driving it long enough to take some. :biggrin3:

Looks fantastic, love the black alloys with Sepang (well actually I like black alloys with just about every colour).. However it does look like Sepang is the new Daytona Grey :)

Cheers Lewy it's a good club to be in.
Still no better pictures of the car to post yet.

Had a good drive out through North Wales in it today. What a machine. My only niggling doubt when I spec'd the car was if I'd made the right choice sticking with the air suspension. I put it through its paces today . In comfort mode it is just unreal how it provides such a smooth ride and can still control the considerable weight of the car through twisty B roads. And when in dynamic mode it really firms the ride up and controls the body roll well.

The car I test drove was on steel springs and I agree that option coupled with the ceramics makes the car feel sharper especially when being driven at the limit on a track. But as my daily driver I'm now glad I spec'd the air suspension as it gives me an excellent all round package . Plus it's handy being able to raise the car to help with ground clearance when needed. (The lane to my mums house is like a stage of rally GB).

Anyway the car is awesome. I feel guilty when someone Comes over to the car and admires it and pays compliment as most who do haven't experienced the shear fun and thrill of driving it. :biggrin3:

Looks 8), what are the gloss black mirror caps like quality wise?

I always figured if I ordered the black pack, I'd still buy carbon mirrors but they look alright there.

You copycat :bigblink:

Welcome to the Sepang club, must be up to six or seven of us on here now.

I like the way all of the cars have different specs. Just proves we all see things differently :beerchug:

P.S. Black mirror housings are good quality, washed the car 4 times now and they come up well, no swirls.
