Are your headlights Matrix? Or are they high beam assist? Also, any idea what the difference is?

Basically I'm torn between new and used, trying to work out the differences, headlights is one i think...

Check out these 2 "MY 2015 cars"

Headlights are definitely different, right? 1st one matrix, 2nd one not?

Yeah, but are they matrix? Dont mean to be a pita, but if you check out the first link above, the "new" ones definitely look different. The dealers are clueless and all i want to know was if they have the same functionality :(

Matrix are the new gen that spilt the beam etc. you pretty much leave them on full beam all the time and they work their magic. Have them of the wife's m50d and pretty good but I am getting flashed a lot from other drivers.

Second link is a old model. Completely different. The full led on the old models only offer high beam assist and turn aassist.

If you are still deciding on spec, I have a recommendation, one that I am sure nobody on here will agree with, but here goes:

I use my car almost exclusively for long motorway journeys. After 8 hours in the car yesterday, I can categorically state that the superpsorts seats are extremely uncomfortable - specifically the seat squab (the backrest is very good). The squab is hard and flat and lacks support. The seats only come into their own when throwing the car around, which represents a microscopic amount of my typical journey driving style. I dearly wish had spec'ed the comfort seats; they can be adjusted so that they offer high levels of lateral support (though not as much as the supersports seats) and the seat base is superbly supportive and comfortable (I tried them in an A7).

On a more positive note, the ACC with lane assist was a god send, making the journey much lass fatiguing than my previous (very good) E Class Mercedes. I had thought Lane Assist would be a bit of a gimmick but it was brilliant. Even the Side Assist took away some of the effort involved in long motorway journeys - it was great just having that extra confirmation of where other vehicles are in relation to your rear flanks, overall helping to de-stress the driving experience. I would strongly recommend you get the Assistance package.

Not sure if this helps, but I specced it on my B8 in place of the standard carbon. I'm not a huge fan of carbon stuff anyway, but with the black styling package I specced I think the Piano Black inlays compliment that perfectly. The centre console was my 'worry' area as the piano black wraps around the console down the sides, but so far (after 900miles), there's no marks or scuffs that have become evident.

:)
