residual value after 4yrs
residual value after 4yrs
I have been offered a 14 plate car at my local dealership and am trying to get my head around the figures. They are telling me that it will be worth at least 31k at the end of four years of my ownership (which is the balloon figure their pc comes back with) and probably nearer 35k. Having never bought a car on pcp let alone something of this magnitude, i have no clue as to whether i am being talked into it or not. For you RS drivers that have done his a few times and got the the end of the pcp period what are you finding you are getting back compared to the initial figure that you were quoted by audi finance? Thanks in advance for any advice offered.

31 sounds about right for four years.
Re: residual value after 4yrs
What's the spec? What was the OTR when new? I had looked at a low spec new car and audi had a balloon of 31k after 4yrs at 8000miles per year. My 64 plate was £91k OTR and audi set balloon at £43k after 3 yrs. not sure what will happened.
Re: residual value after 4yrs
This can depend upon a lot of things - not least of which is mileage - but £31k looks about right for today. However, this could be a mile away in 4 years time depending upon a number of things - economic circumstances etc etc
Just remember that a similar aged C6 costing £82K new would have already lost £25K in value due to the 08 crash. That's certainly the position the owner of my last C6 found themselves in when I bought it. I seem to remember Audi were selling off their stock of new cars for about £60K within 6 months of its launch
Residual values are only what you are guaranteed to have to pay - not what the car will be worth.
Remember the value of XXX can go up or down etc etc (insert small print text here)

Re: residual value after 4yrs
Aye, my C6 was a bargain. C7 also a bargain, though not quite to the same level!
