Sports Exhaust (Factory)
Anyone know the part numbers or the difference to the stock one?
We have been looking and it seems only the centre is different is that correct?
I know I can get a Milltek.

Re: Sports Exhaust (Factory)
Do you have part numbers out of interest to compare?
Appreciate any pointers before I order it. Expensive mistake otherwise!
I can't see any differences on manifold/backboxes etc. I can only assume a non-resonated centre section?

It'll have to be resonated to get through the noise type approval. Likely to have different internal baffling or less packing type material or whatever audi use.TSL wrote:Do you have part numbers out of interest to compare?

Re: Sports Exhaust (Factory)
Whats the cost of the centre section?
Re: Sports Exhaust (Factory)
I spoke to someone I know about this, (the purple one on adv's) he said that he removed his sports exhaust as it's was crap and put an akropovik on there.

Re: Sports Exhaust (Factory)
I was quoted £1500 fitted for Miltek, and £6000 for the Akra, both cat back non resonated although the Miltek uses the original tips. Not sure if these prices are good or bad???TSL wrote:Anyone know the part numbers or the difference to the stock one?

Re: Sports Exhaust (Factory)
Personally think sports exhaust sounds good. But each to their own as for the akra fek that 6k the Miltek all the way Jon olsonns got it on his sounds fab check it out on YouTube. Plus for me the akra tips look horrendous looks like something that should be on a bike,But again could just be me being boring.
Re: Sports Exhaust (Factory)
I agree the sports exhaust is great, I think it just needs a resonator delete to wake the neighbours..

Re: Sports Exhaust (Factory)
Centre section was £450 + VAT and fitting. Which seemed reasonable.
Yes I know about the Milltek great system and the Akapovic (SP?) but not really interested in these options as at present I like the sports exhaust. It's enough for a family car and motorways etc. etc.
I have a 700bhp Mercedes AMG that growls and keeps the old girl next door grumbling on startup

Re: Sports Exhaust (Factory)
Price is not so bad...
No doubt about it, AMG have the exhaust tune down to a tee.

Re: Sports Exhaust (Factory)
I have the factory sport exhaust, and i must say, sounds GREAT.
Imo aftermarket product as milltec for example, have a tendency to resonate and also give the car a bit of a "fast n the furious" notwantedfeel.

Exactly what I am after Bjornbuse thank you. I also have a Misano Red C7
The standard exhaust isn't bad, but I can have a touch more I would be happy!

Re: Sports Exhaust (Factory)
Standard If you don't want too much sound just a little now and again. Sports if u want a bit of fun and some extra crackle popping sounds great. And Miltek if your an asbo does sound great though hahah.
Re: Sports Exhaust (Factory)
I think, if you are going for aftermarket, Milltek gives you the best bang for buck, echo Jon Olsson's wicked 6 with Milltek. Akra is just too expensive and someone pointed out correctly, the tip is just hideous. Pig nose tip, WTF. Am happy with the sports exhaust now but I don't mind it a bit louder. Going aftermarket can give you loudness but you may lose some of the pops and crackles.
