It seems to be all going "Pete Tong" for us ...

So lets in a simple thread summarise where we all are feel free to copy and add your details

gdavison : Ordered End July - No Build date - No further update promised from Audi UK until Mid October
doodlebug : Ordered ?? - build was scheduled w/c 8th Sept, now pending
jezitalia : Ordered April - build first week October - Status Unknown
Chesterfield : ordered ?? - build was scheduled w/c 8th Sept - Status Unknown

My car should have been ordered but due to dealer error hasn't been and still waiting. It's all went pear shaped for all of us I'm getting kind of fed up and some of you will be even more than me.

This ceramic thing is curious, there was no mention of that to me. Sounds iffy given the general message around A6.

It smacks of an extremely badly handled switchover for facelift exacerbated by demand....but I don't know why they can't just announce facelift and say this!

I'm due an update by the end of next week.

yeah, i find quite incredible that the supply chain for ceramics would be the constraint, however that is what the salesperson and Audi UK came back to me with.... i'd tend to agree thats its a poor attempt at smoke and mirrors.

Better not be a facelift, I asked and they said no facelift due until next year end. And I don't want a car with the new horrid lights someone's got an answer somewhere surely and BMW can get a m6 in a 6 week turnaround.

Confirmation from my dealer today that order is still on track. Build still scheduled week 37.

Hmm. I smell a rat. It's interesting that GLM was told two weeks before me.....

Re orderd in Order date order and also noticed a bunch of interesting changes ... Doodlebug and I are exclusive paint jobs and are the only ones the dealers are not "claiming" a build week for

Sorry, mine still isn't confirmed, I'm due an update from the sales guy by the 15th... I have exclusive paint and, as mentioned ceramics. Last I heard, mine wouldn't be confirmed a build date much before jan 2015.
