As in Autoglym?

Avoid, get a detailer to do properly.

I had Gyeon MOHS+ (quartz ceramic) done by a Doncaster detailer. I'm still happy with the results and his work was 1st class.

If you've the coin I'd defo recommend a clear film. Coatings are OK, but won't stop the worst of what the roads will throw at your 6.

It was less than £500 for inside and outside including glass and rims. I can't fault the company that did the work, the chap even reduced the expected price because he didn't need to do as much machine polishing. I intend to go again at some point with the RS6 and have already been back to get my partners car done.

The MOHS coating is not as good as a film for protecting the car but it looks better than a film (IMO) and does genuinely seem to protect it from minor scratches. Neither films nor coatings can protect a car from dents and most major accidental scratches seem to come along with a dent so I feel that a coating is a better option.

Most Detailers will offer their own options.

The best way to protect the investment is film. Whether this is for the whole car or just the front facing items.

We use ValetMagic near Camberley and he has always done a great job, new and old cars.

Cheers

No offence but I would never ever take my car to valet magic. Have a read about the nightmares experienced by GT-R owners in GTROC.

Re: paint protection, apart from a detail, the only other thing I would consider is a self healing clear film. Seen them in action and they are truly unbelievable.
