Facelift

Post by ecav » Tue Dec 17, 2013 3:09 pm

May be a bit premature but do you know when the C7 is heading for a facelift? Is it this August (MY2015) or next (MY2016)? Dont want to jump the gun too close to a facelift (like is happening with the RS7)

Aren't RS models introduced 2/3 of the way thru the base models shelf life or there abouts..... or is that out the window now they do more then one RS model concurrently

used to be the case - RS5 i think was the first exception, followed by the RS7 (v. soon) and then the RS6.

RS3, RS4 and TTRS were all introduced post FL or 2/3 of the way through the life cycle as you suggested too

I've asked the question as I was also thinking about MY15 changes. If not a facelift then a pricing and/or standard equipment change as with the RS4 for MY14.

If there is a fl it won't be significant. The main change seems to be the headlight design, but the new cars come with the fancy design already. So removing that from the equation and using the R8 as an example it'll probably only end up being a few new colours & maybe some trim tweaks like a black optic or something.

A6 is due facelift next year though not clear whether there will be changes to the RS6. If it is face lifted expect discounts to vanish.

It won't be as dramatic as the RS 5 facelift

Think C6 facelift.

Minimal

Agreed, I'll take the discount now as opposed to worrying about what might happen.

Abyss is your man, it seems there are a handful of dealers who will discount in addition to the couple of grand Audi finance are offering, it's a trickle at the moment but should turn into a stream in the new Year.
