Anyone getting a good deal...?

Post by GLM » Tue Dec 10, 2013 11:05 pm

Hi - just wondering if there are any forum members currently getting good deals on C7 at the moment?

I see the chaps over in the rs4 b8 section seem to be picking up pretty decent deals on new factory orders - circa 10% plus contributions if tied to Audi finance. Not sure if it's just a push to get more b8s out there or if it's a general Audi sales push across the board.

Personally, I'm thinking about ordering in the new year, and will want the car to be a keeper so my current spec is coming up £102k which is a touch more then I really want to go in for, but if I could get something like what's being achieve on the b8 - it would bring it down to circa £85-87k which is a much easier pill to swallow..... And prob very optimistic!
Also a chap over on piston heads says he got a dealer to match a broad speed price which was £10.5k off list.

So anyone getting any good deals with the stealers and happy to share??

I saw that post on PH, wasn't it an RS4 he got the discount on? The C7 is still too new to attract much of a discount, be interested to know what sort of deals were offered on C6 and at what stage in its life for comparisons sake.

Can't compare with C6 as the hit as financial meltdown occurred.

I paid best part of 30% under list for my C6 six months into production and that ain't happening ever with C7.

Expect a contribution on finance and a token discount.

Broad speed have never offered 10.5k on C7.

I double checked - he says RS6 and posts the email back from Broadspeed:
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... +dont+mind

However, he never mentions whether he ordered it or not - sounds like he didnt on the fact that the salesman moved company. Could be a load of hot air....

Just surprised the amount you can get off a RS4 and nothing off RS6 - but then supply and demand rules.

Also depends on what Audi want to and can shift. On price alone they are always going to shift more RS4s, and that gets the brand recognition and leads to more sales.

RS6 is the halo product along with the RS7, it's always going to demand a bigger premium.

It's also brand new to the market and 'may' drop in price in the new year
I'd stick my neck out and say it was better received by the press than the rs4, so numbers shifting might be nearer what they were hoping. I know my local dealer said they're shifting well
Deals are there to be had though as I was offered quite a decent discount

When did it open to order? First cars dropped May time, so it's not so new now. Still not seen one on the roads.

As you say, discount is there to be had at the right dealer, but not near to B8 levels.

There are deals available from the right dealers, I have spoken to a few who either would deal at a reasonable level or suggested that they might.

What is 'reasonable?'

Stafford offer nothing (and they're not alone). I wouldn't mind so much if their customer service was way above the others, but they're just as poor so I don't quite get how they justify themselves, they don't want to haggle and they offer no added value - go figure.

For me, since I was trading in, the deal was the balance payment. The dealer I went with gave me either a discount off of the car I was buying or more allowance for my car than most of the other dealers (Porsche and Audi). This may simply be because they were being offered more for my car than they were disclosing, it could have been because of the options I chose.. impossible to say. Reasonable is ... subjective.

My local dealer (Walton-on-Thames) originally contacted me to offer me a test drive - but when we eventually got down to numbers they offered me zero discount beyond the Audi Finance contribution. After some investigation and shopping around I ended up ordering via Perth Audi, as they offered me around £6-7k overall discount (inclusive of the Audi Finance contribution) which I felt was pretty reasonable and although its a fair trek to go up to Scotland for collection, the drive back in the beast should be good fun!! :D

I'd have gone with Perth Audi even if my local dealer could have matched the deal (although I didn't bother to ask them as I figured if they want to offer me zero discount initially then they don't really value my business) as I've found them to be a genuinely good bunch of guys to deal with, particularly the salesman, Kerr Elliot, who has been excellent throughout and is always very responsive to any questions I may have plus the finance guy, Angus, has been very clear and easy to do business with.

thanks S4 - just following up with Kings-Lynn off of Abyss' recommendation.

So far they are being pretty cool about it with a decent deal, plus its not too much of trek for me! Just umming-and-rring of spec now :-P

Yeah, it's difficult trying not to get too carried away but still ensuring that you have all the bits you *think* you'll need!

I ended up going with:

Daytona Pearl
Silver Leather & Black headliner
Black gloss 21" alloys
Heads-up display
LED headlights
Sports Exhaust
Panoramic Sunroof
Top View Camera
Privacy Glass
Advanced Key with Power Boot
Rear blinds

Aye. I'm pretty close to sorting an order. Will fester until New year though. Have you talked deposits?
