My turn to be invited on one of these event days. This one was a Cadwell Park. Had the pleasure of 3 laps in an R8 v10 plus being driven by Sam Tordoff from the BTTC. I though I was an Ok driver but after this I realise how much these cars can actually do. Also had the chance to take another RS6 avant out for another blast. Not allowed on the track as that was for professional drivers only. Anyway here are a few pics of the day, excuse the quality as all taken with an iPhone;

I'm lovin' that 'vert RS5 interior.

I got invited to one, all the C7's are booked up so not going now as I don't fancy another model

I've been invited to two now...Chelmsford Audi and Worcester Audi...both places I've bought cars from, but both miles from where I live, hence can't attend.

I've got an invite to one next week (Leicester), but when I emailed he confirmed my place but said most cars are fully booked. I said I'm not taking the day off to just look, they are trying to source more cars. Waiting to hear back.

Mine was also Leicester as that's where is bought mine from. They offered me a S6 and I said Leicester Audi already let me drive one and it was crap, then she went on to offer me TTRS, TTS, S7, RS5 cab, I just said no as they are not my cup of tea. Like you, not wasting a day off work to attend and have my car swirl marked up with the free valet they are offering.!

The lady said that she could not get hold of any more RS6's and I asked if they would have another event and they said possibly so asked to be put on that list.

The reason why there is never any cars available on these events is after talking to the general manager of the dealership I use he told me that for the event I attended Audi had sent out 6000 invites and the cars were booked out on first come first serve basis. This was to cover a total of 200 test drive slots they had for the day!!!! So if any one gets an invite for a future event I would get straight back to them if possible and asked for a couple of options and you might have a chance of getting a slot. I only got mine as I "know a few people" so it was sorted out for me.

Looks like I won't be going then! Wouldn't mind having a good look round / have a go in the RS7, but I don't think I can get past that ugly rear end!

I went along to epsom audi's showcase a week or so ago and it was a fantastic day out I was lucky enough to get 4 drives, a tts, c7, r8 v10 plus and an rs5 my advise would be to book early and turn up early we were 2 hours early and therefore go to drive the tts and rs5...... ill definatly be going if they do another day, highly recommended.

Oh and seeing as this is the c7 forum id like to say that I am slightly in love with the c7....... what a car!! I drove the r8 about 5 mins after getting out of the c7 and to be honest the r8 didnt 'feel' that much faster and my passenger said he actualy preferred the noise the c7 made its a fabulous car and I will be looking into selling my spleen in order to buy one

I've still not heard anything back regarding them sourcing any more cars for next week!

I've been invited to one at Celtic Manor next Saturday which includes a hog roast and fireworks. I have asked them to book me into a V10+. May call back up to see what they have given me as I don't really want to drive an RS4/5.
