Does anyone know or seen what secondhand Akra systems sell for? Just trying to weigh up what to go for and in my head based on previous experience with decent brands you can usually recover 50-60% of the cost if you take the system off when selling a car. So that would bridge the gap considerably if I could say in 2 years time get c3.5/ 4K for a Akra compared with say 1k for a Milltek.

Just working the man maths hard!!

There's an Akra up on eBay for an rs4/5 for £2600/offers. Not sure how much they are new so can't work out how much the difference is.

A member offered me an akrapovic but then never replied. I think it may be a while before a 2nd hand one comes available. I know I'm still loving mine.

Is it a noticeable difference over the factory sports exhaust? Difficult to tell from videos! Very close to going for it but want to be sure given the cost.

Andy - I had one fitted on Friday, but I only had time to collect it, and drive 10 miles to the airport, in traffic.

So, not much info, but It is 100% noticeably louder than factory sports exhaust! I had to switch to comfort mode driving through town or it would be over the top (for me). It does sound very good when I was briefly able to go for it.

New exhausts always change sound after a few miles. I'm picking it up again on Tuesday, and then have a 300 mile round trip on Wednesday, so will report back then.

The one thing my neighbours are not going to like is the noise on start-up. They have just had a few weeks rest after I sold my Brabus Merc 6.3l, but this will bring back bad memories. TBH I'd prefer if I could be muted at 6am...

I'm also pretty sure my dog is going to be deaf.

Thanks that would be great. It would be great to know how it compares flaps closed and open and any drone/ annoyance when just cruising. Cheers

The Capristo might have been a better option for you. That is independently switched via a remote control so you can start it quietly I believe.

Might have been a better option for my neighbours, yes! Probably easier without the remote in general though.

This YouTube link is pretty good representation, though only compares against standard, not sport.
