certainly sparking a good debate. Cool car is it value for money?? does not look too bad still expensive though
BMW 540i
2018 GTR
F90 M5
X3MC
RS3 Saloon
RS7 FL best car I've owned. No faith in turbo oil screen (turbos failing) or sticking oil scraper ring causing missfires.
F10 M5 LCI still no rear grip lol
S7 black Edition Too big and heavy
S3 8V FL DSG 310ps, road noise is a joke
RS3 8P Rubbish
C7 RS6 Fantastic car but missed playing
GTR R35 800bhp, too extreme, crazy fast though
911 Turbo Remapped. Hated it
F10 M5, awesome but no rear grip
RS6 V10 700BHP crazy
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S 600bhp

On a happy note, I now have my build slot for a nice shiney new RS6 avantImage

Surely if you want to switch, the dealer would take the car into stock? It's a high spec and it would be in their interest to upsell you into a PE?
I'm going to have another try this morning but at the end of the day I can understand why a dealer wouldn't want a 90k motor as stock. But you never know. I knew there was a possibility that I would get locked in but I thought I had just nicked it as the dealer told me it wasn't showing as locked on Tuesday, yesterday morning however when he went to amend the order it was frozen. He did say that their system might not have refreshed as soon as Audi lock the build so it may have happened days ago.
Anyway, I'll try again today and see what can be done. But even if they took the original build into stock I will be back in the build queue which I'm not keen on. Want the car for 1st March.

RS6s don't hang around, especially if the dealer works with any of the brokers. Not teaching you to suck eggs or nuffink, but I'd push for what I want. That said, a mint Sepang RS6 is awesome, PE or not.
Current 2017 991.2 GT3 - Manual, 918 Buckets / CS pack, Guards, the dog's.
Gone 2016 991.1 GTS PTS Voodoo Blue - best car to date, 2015 911.1 GTS, Carmine, PDK, interior pack, stunning, 2016 Carmine Cayman GTS, PDK + toys, 2015 RS5 Cab, 2012 Discovery 4 family wagon, 2014 Golf R, 2015 Cayman GTS, 2014 RS4, Sepang with most of the toys, SQ5, S4, S5, A5, A6.

Tried and failed, TBH I'm still happy with the deal I got. It would have been nice for an extra 2k but not the end of the world. The only physical difference other than the extra ponies is the alloys. The physical appearance is nearly exact as I didn't want titanium or blue alcantara. In reality am I really going to notice 45bhp in the car anyway?

Only a 40 mile drive for me from Carlisle Audi, as for the photo shoot Brighton might be a bit of an excessive excuse for a driveImage

Ok thanks. That's about 10 weeks from order to delivery then. Much better than the RS3 waiting times.
Have you guys looged into the 'Your audi' beta website to follow your order through? Its very useful and highly addictive. I found myself logging on constantly for updates and then watching boats coming into and out of ports.

no !!! how do I do that? ........ooooo desperate to see now......does it need to be in the build process. presume I need a order number....why don't I have one, ahhhhhhhh....where is that,,,,,why is my dealer not on the phone now at 10.30pm..........ahhhhhhhhhhh :biggrin2:

Remember ordering something a long time ago which did have updates ie testing cpu/ heat testing 24 hrs etc and getting frustrated when it did not progress or timing it to see when it would move to the next work bench.....

You need the 8 digit order number that begins with a 2.
Then google Audi beta or your audi and register. Details need to match what's on your order ie name postcode etc.
Then click on track order or something like that and type in your order number.
Then you can see when it goes into prep (normally about 2 weeks before build week), you can see as it passes through panel Shop, paint Shop, assembly, quality control, when it leaves the factory, when it gets on a boat, when it's in the uk, when it's on way to dealer etc.
There is a bit about options but as this is a beta site it doesn't work 100% yet as it showed a few incorrect options when I was on it.
