Without cutting them open I don't think anyone really knows. I'm guessing just a bit less muffeling wool or whatever they use in the sports as seem to have the same number of mufflers etc.

So in your opinion what should I need to do to the standard exhaust to replicate the sports?

Can I ask why you are so set on replicating a sports exhaust? Common consensus is that there is little to no difference. It's been stated numerous times that the best bang for buck is removal of the three boxes in favour of straight pipe...why don't you just do that?

Andywaddy, haha, I am a bit of an OEM freak, I like things to be as they came from the factory, a bit ocd on my part. Having said that I think I will meet with Andy_w when my car has arrived and have a listen to his. If I like it will go down the same route as him. To be honest, Im about ready to lose it with Audi Belfast as I STILL don't have a definite delivery date as they have had to send the alloy(s) away to be refurbished.....

Could someone help me with instructions for having the exhaust flap open all the time? Is it a fuse or something more DIY?

Rob, put on some old clothes, lay on the floor under the rear bumper at one side, look up at the back box, then the 2 tailpipes. One of the tailpipes will have a wire & plug attached to it, pull it off. Tape it up and tie it out of the way. Repeat for the other side. Takes longer to type it out than actually do it.
