Front Audi Badge Removal
Re: Front Audi Badge Removal
I really wouldn't have bothered - until I saw this image. That looks awesome. Mine's getting that done for sure.Andy_W wrote:So I summond up the courage and did this today. Once I got one of the clips out the rest were easy. I just used a plastic smooth store card and pushed it up in a gap between the lugs. Once right through used a screwdriver to ease the first one out and then worked around. No clips broken!
The new bags had a couple of clips in the wrong place so cut these off but rest all clipped in well and securely.
Did the rear as well although did quite like the look without the rings on the boot lid.
Just needs a clean now!
Guys where did you get them from? Mike it makes yours look super hard from the front!

Boff, I got mine from Raywell design. I sent them to the dealer and asked him to fit for me before I collected it, and at no cost. They did it the proper way and removed the front bumper.
I also got him to remove the rear rings and to replace the rear RS6 badge for the black one.
I got the black badge from Raywell Design too. I also got the rear rings in black but didn't fit them.

Mike that looks the bollocks. I'm going to do exactly the same with the Noggy Car, I love the black RS6 badge. Very very nice indeed. removing the rear rings is brilliant!

Yes, that looks great and thanks for the answer (i notice you had already mentioned it ealier on the paper so sorry for being thick).
I have gone for the delete RS6 badge from the factory but do you think the dealer would be OK to get rid of the rear tailgate Audi rings before they handover to me? I'm assuming it's just glued on.

Re: Front Audi Badge Removal
Its just stuck on with a double sided pad type Sticker. My dealer did it for me so worth asking.
Re: Front Audi Badge Removal
I ordered the RS6 black badge from Raywell design and it is smaller than standard and plastic rubbish. He was aware of this at the time so hopefully upgraded to proper sized metal ones. Their rings are good quality though but decided not to fit black in the end to mine.

Good to know, thanks. Anyone have experience of their carbon mirrors? They seem a bit suspiciously cheap at £450. I know MTM want £1,500 for theirs.

£450 not a bad price. I got mine from Carbon-werks in Germany for about £420 when EURO was OK. I think all companies do the same and just skim the carbon onto OEM ones.robf wrote:Good to know, thanks. Anyone have experience of their carbon mirrors? They seem a bit suspiciously cheap at £450. Re: Front Audi Badge Removal
Yeah that seems about the right price for carbon skinned mirrors. Pretty sure i've seen some in the 200s too which is probably little more than the cost of genuine plastic mirror covers alone.
Not sure if the MTM ones are completely made of carbon like the OEM ones; but that would explain why they cost so much. I saw a new set of OEM ones on ebay from an american seller for about £800 not that long ago.

Re: Front Audi Badge Removal
Hi guys,
Hope you are all still around and can answer my question about the front badges...
I just collected a 2016 facelift RS6 and would like to change the front RS6 emblem but I am not entirely sure how, so I was wondering if anyone has a step guide on how to without removing the bumper/grill?
I have already swapped the chrome rings for black.
