Apparently the C7 A6 is due facelift in early 2014.....hmm that muddies things a little.

Not really... Traditionally RS cars have towards the end of current model runs.
Generally facelift changes are relatively modest and doubtful ti'll make any meaningful difference.

Yes, but tradition is clearly changing with more RS cars being produced in parallel. We already know that changes to the MMI are going to be introduced into RS4 (drybeers post somewhere!)....you're going to be miffed if you miss some new toys.

Look at the last RS6, most cars got MMI 2G....later and fewer cars got 3G. That's not a small change IMO.

Same as the V10 R8 ... Mine is registered April 2010 and has the ancient rnse as per the B7 first seen in about 467BC...yet it seems my car missed the cut off for the 2010+RNSE by a few weeks

A6/A7/A8 have two radar sensors In the fog area if its got adaptive cruise
