The damage was already done with the strainer when the car was stock. All the older models stock or not have the same strainer filter
Somehow other stock cars has no issues, as I say it can be bad batch

He's fed up with the <beep> that Tadasshole keeps posting, possibly same as most on here.

His post above that quoted you and Tadasshole, it was aimed at Tadasshole, not you.

Is this the JHMotorsports relocation kit ?...hasn’t this been kit installed a few times in the states so tried and tested so to speak?.. a few others have also spoken about poss going for this kit but I like others have ordered stuff in the past from USA and waited ages to receive to later find out there’s parts missing and we required additional kit which in turn leads to more issues and delays...

Reading between the lines more frequent oil changes, install of the updated oil strainer element and new nrv should hopefully see less issues for owners and hopefully in the near future Audi will act and poss do some recalls to those affected.

I bought the strainer kit but the day before i had it fitted i was messaged with a link to another forum and the issues that guys had with it.

https://www.audizine.com/forum/showthre ... st13839987

Spoke to dave at MRC Scotland he wasn't keen to go ahead with it so i decided against it went with the latest revision of strainer and new OEM turbos, will be doing and oil change every 3-4 miles now

It shouldn’t be that bad, you can get around 10l of Castrol LL 5w-30 for £60 on eBay, the oil filter is £10 and factor in 2 hours labour max..

I’m planning on the same frequency of oil changes going forward. For all the time it takes to change the oil it’s got to be worth it. The revised strainer looks totally different to the initial one so hopefully that will make a difference long term. Still waiting for the warranty company to approve repairs. Doing my head in!! They even spoke about wanting the car to be taken to Audi Glasgow which is totally pointless as they are going to say exactly the same thing!! We shall see what’s said on Monday

Not sure if more frequent/lower millage oil intervals are the key...but i'm doing it aswell since maybe 30.000-40.000km on mine (stage 2 S6 from 2013). Doing short daily trips to work and back, often push it and sadely it often goes hot into the garage (all bad ingredients for sludge or deposites that block the oil screen). Still original oil screen and turbo's with last time i checked still in good condition.
Maybe more helpfull is the fact i do an oil cleaner every 2 oil changes (that disolves sludge and carbon deposits). I used BG oil cleaner but recently steps over to Bardahl as it is easier to be found in my country. Also i add oil booster/turbo protect (adds a fresh oil film onto the metal parts to prevent carbon build up)....in theory but i think it is helping aswell :). Not only i do it for hopefully a good working oil screen and optimal oil flow inside the turbo's...but i also hope it helps keeping the oil cilinder scrapers (or how you are called) carbon free....that is also a hidden over time engine killer on the 4.0TT apperently.
