Wonder what this will do to C7 prices (I’ll be in the market soon so hoping there will be some wriggle room).
By the time the new one comes out (Easter?) the U.K. will have figured out that the sky hasn’t fallen and that all the self induced panicking wasn’t necessary. Having said that I fully expect us to plunge into a (hopefully) short recession (which didn’t need to happen but joe public-fuelled by a sensationalist media-will be lemmings) and then bounce back big time.
Or we could be about to fall of a cliff for a while in which case they will struggle to sell them in volume.
Edited to add:
It looks pretty good but not as aggressive as the C7 from the front?
Am sure we’ll all get used to it soon enough and it will be yet another winner. RS6 is a halo car for Audi that cannot fail.

I was thinking the same thing regarding C7 costs but I have to be in another car by November so don't have too much choice. C7 really slumming it though eh :biggrin3:
Like the C8 though particularly that satin grey but would look much better with a black pack.

May get a few terse comments on this but- at what stage do you think C7 prices will start to come down significantly due to the C8? C8 will be biblically expensive of course but a newer model always means the previous takes a hit.
My next proper car (as opposed to the run around POS am currently driving) is being penned for late Sept/October sometime and a C7 or RS7 are strong contenders.
I sold my 2017 M3 Competition a couple of months back as I didn’t drive it enough to justify keeping it. They are holding their values reasonably well (I got a very strong offer from a dealer and lost all of £399 settling the finance which is a first for me) but soon as the new one comes out early next year they will tumble.
Thoughts?

Hard to tell imho. Lets not forget we are facing different times where V8 blocks or even petrol engines are becoming dino's. Weren't petrol engines to be ruled out from 2030 if it is up to my goverment/EU/....?
Time will tell.
Anyway....as always, a decent set of wheels and some colour combo's might make it nicer, but still need to grow on it.

I think it is absolutely stunning and has exceeded my expectations in vertically every department.

I would have liked a bit more power but not at the expense of heavy batteries like the Panamera Turbo S.

I’m been first on the list for a C8 for some time now but had got bored waiting. I was literally just about to pull the trigger today (finalised negotiations yesterday) on an M5 Competition, only to wake up to today’s news, pics and vids!

Spoke to to dealer principle at my local dealer today and he said that the build slot on his launch car is November so delivery could be as soon as early Jan.🙏

I always find that this German YouTube channel does the most authoritative reviews on German cars (it's in English!):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BorAkSKMn8I

All talk of options is pretty irrelevant at this stage. Each market decides what is standard and optional. That means it will be Audi UK's marketing department that defines the standard RS6 for us and, judging by all previous models, you can expect them to have already ticked many of the options boxes on our behalf when the car goes on sale here.

Not really a fan of that to be honest, too fussy, and the wheels look cartoonishly large. Would be interested to see it in a non matt colour though.

Is it me or does the drivers door look a different colour to the rear door, MrJWW has a review on YouTube of the same car with wider shots and it looks two tone at times

My reaction is similar to when the new RS4 came out, a bit too bling. I am now of a certain vintage and like to go unnoticed, my PE is Daytona with no badges and people generally have to ask if it's an RS6, which suits me. I don't like the rear diffuser (if that's what it is) at all, but I am sure it will be an arresting sight in the flesh, though probably not for this old fart.

Don't really need all that space anymore and would like something a little lighter and more nimble, but I won't be swapping out for 12 months yet and have to say that as an all rounder my C7 has been a joy.

Agree about the rear... "thing", not even sure what it is supposed to be. I am hoping that a black car with black optics will mostly make it just disappear.

Saw a recent post on an Audi Avant group I'm a member of on Facbook, it does look pretty good in Black, and the strange diffuser seems to blend in more..

Any ideas how much list price will be?

Let’s ignore the potential 10% tariff if we get a no-deal BREXIT
