Finally got my car back after two weeks. The juddering I had previous to my kerbing has gone which means it may have been loose foam in one of the duff tyres. Two new tyres are on the front but there are new weights on all 4 wheels so looks like all have been re-balanced. Did a fair amount of driving about yesterday and all good. I'm going to feedback about ridiculous delay in getting these tyres and the fact my car was covered in seagull crap when I picked it up!

It was the local guys. I wasn't bothered about it being washed but at least hose the stuff off so it doesn't get into the paintwork when it is sitting about.

Just got my winter 21" set that I ordered with the car. Well chuffed that the tyres are Dunlop 4D and not the Pirelli Sottos. The latter was until recently the only winter tyre available in 285/30/21. I can confirm that the 4Ds are running Dunlop's silent tyre tech and are manufactured week 50 2014.

Super interesting - Almo did you have the juddering at specific speeds or was it all the time? I'm trying to get to the root of a judder on my C7 RS6. So far alignment and wheel balancing only going half way to solving it, still noticeable between 70 and 80mph.

The juddering has come back (see comments in another thread) after I hit a big pothole about a month back. It is only noticeable above 50MPH. I need to book it in to get it looked at and will probably go to Audi as they fitted those tyres.
