Right, so the car is finally in the UK !!!!!! I think the dealers maybe under pressure to deliver the cars before the end of the month as they've organised independent collection via transporter for it just I can have it by Thursday. Really chuffed and can't wait

Anyone any news, I was asked into the dealer on Saturday to get all finance sorted out. Car was still showing at port (Grimsby) but had been called off on the 20/04/15. Starting to think it's not going to be here and ready for a Friday pick up

My b8 is at the dealers. Audi city, it arrived today (well last report was that it is on a transporter - today) came into sheerness last week. Excitement is not the word

Is there a science or algorithm somewhere that helps us to work out delivery from build week? A tracking number would be nice...

8 weeks maybe?

So had a call from the dealer, although they were preparing to pick it up with a self funded transporter Audi UK are not allowing it as apparently the docks are too busy to allow any more trucks in

So now I've been told defo no collection on Thursday and a might get it some time next week as they have to wait for Audi UK transportation :audibash:

So much for bank holiday cruising, not happy at all. Even spent nearly two damn hours on the phone with Audi 5 day insurance which was now pointless.

its seems to be a mix of pot luck and a shambolic ordering system - until about 1 month ago i was told all was on course for the build week 19 and then i was budgeting 4 weeks from that for delivery. Then i was told the end of April/early May. Then got a call that the car arrived on friday just gone!

over a year wait is almost over!

Buddy, knowing how i feel about the rs4, gutted for you, i was speaking to my dealer about the audi delivery process today and he agreed with me, it needs to be an app that the buyer can view the delivery - allowing much easier planning. Believe me the dealers want this even more than us! (Imagine every sale in you pipeline is like this)

That's why we buy Quattro's? Come rain or shine. Even now I'm unsure, until I have the keys!!!! Best wishes for you fella, and if I get mine, I'll put rule 1 pics on b8 forum this week.

I was supposed to get the reg plate today - not arrived, so fingers crossed

Here's to us all getting our machines, only 2/3 have got ours on the b8 forum, SO FAR.

A MINI is picked up from the factory on an Eddie Stobart truck, and driven direct to dealer..... Why not vwag?

Well,

I have had two calls today, one at 09:30 telling me car was still not here and could I take it next week (er no I told you 1st May or 1st of June, I'm away on business for most of May) :bash: :knob: :bash: And the second not 5 minutes later saying its on the truck and it will be ready for Friday afternoon.

I'll not hold my breath

But they're made in Oxford, not Germany :)
Shipping cars individually from Germany to UK dealers would be massively expensive
Do Audi offer factory collection like BMW or Porsche ?

That's true, but they come into the docks on a ship like every other imported car
