I've not driven one, but I've heard the new Chinese made MG's are spectacularly <beep> and unbelievably mundane

To be fair that could be said about many manufacturers when comparing their "sport" versions against the normal counterparts. Especially when viewed through the eyes of a petrolhead.

Yeah but some others manufacturers standard cars actually have nice design or inherently good driving characteristics .

A boggo A3 Or A4 fwd looks like a dishwasher and drives like a dish washer !
