Magnetic ride is a Volkswagen technology, used on the group cars (a3/TT) and as the R8 is topographically similar to the TT, then it was easier to use it too.

A4 upwards are on Audi platforms, hence DRC and adaptive air ride. Not mag.

Audi say they are going to sell 12000 a year!!!!!

Come on they only made 5500 C6,s...that model arrived at the same time as the global credit crunch??...if anything the worlds on a worse mess now!!! 12000 sounds a bit keen to me???

Given that they were giving C6s away and numbers are still south of 500 I can't see them shifting many at 95-100k.

I thought that MR was owned by a company called Sachs who then licence it out. It's on Ferraris' and certain US cars IIRC.

FWIW I have it on both my Audis' and love it.

It's a Delphi system, used by a lot of manufacturers.

got an email from Audi Reading yesterday asking if I was interested, they quote "You can spec. and order the car in March next year, delivery summer 2013. "

Very little "new info" over what has been already posted

Seems they are waiting for final Co2 figures before going live with pricing etc, expected "soon"

Open for ordering, and price and specification guide available March 2013: exact date TBC
Start of production (launch vehicles): March 2013
Start of production (customer orders): June 2013
