Are you talking about the wheel bolt caps rather than the wheel centre cap? Or do you mean you can use it to remove the centre cap too?

In mine there is a silver wire thickness tool shaped like a q which goes into a hole in the centre cap so you can remove it

Agree with Mike, I use that tool to remove the plastic wheel bolt caps.
