Cold start for those brief moments - miltek is fabulous.
But what beats that is when it's warm and you start it after locking it (not auto-start) - cracks like a shotgun - quality!

Agree with Chris :-)
Apart from tuner and brakes (cos I haven't got them and tight!)

To be honest that's all I use and 440 miles with miles remaining is unreal. Is that all motorway miles at sensible speeds?

95% Motorway miles at 75/80 on ACC. Sensible driving when not on motorway.

Well impressed.

Looks I should get into a C7 sooner rather than later according to my man maths.

If you're coming from a C6 (like I did) then the difference is staggering! I constantly find myself watching the mpg gauge and seeing if I can beat it (obviously with some periods of RS6 hooliganism ). To give some comparison I was given a new A7 LWB 3.0 TDI while I got a new grille on my C7. It was a complete barge of course but even taking it steady I could only get 41mpg. Compare that with the 31.2 mpg I've managed (so far) in the RS6 and you can see the value.

...however, the better fuel consumption will take decades to cover the extra ££££ that the C7 costs.

Plus if it was about mpg then I'd go buy a 'lesser' car! The C6 was and is an epic car but the engine really is the USP with it and now it seriously feels it's age and it really is a blunt weapon. In time the C7 will join that crowd (feeling dated) as well. I loved the C6 and the pleasure of owning what's deemed a 'legendary' car. But it's the same with the C7 though..it's a car people lust after.

Yes it is! I'm only into a C7 very recently though so am still in awe at the mpg (plus everything else!). Would I have a C6 again? Abso-effing-lutley!! A tuned one though with all the necessary tweaks and bits sorted.
