Would NOT drive it until this is rectified. You can brake (albeit with more pedal pressure needed) but if it activates steering lock you'll be shafted.
Lost the front belt driving the hydraulics once while driving and that was a pleasant surprise as assisted steering failed. Luckily directly ahead of a turn on the Autobahn so I could get used to the additional force needed, if that had happened while in turn I'd probably ended up in the divider.

Yeah, you are losing servo assistance rather than braking outright. Nevertheless, could be considered 'dangerous' so would expect to get car picked up and a courtesy car dropped off immediately! Otherwise, frankly, i would reject the car given it is brand new.

Hi guys, just a quick update on the car.

I had been away so gave Audi a call today about getting a tech out to look at the car, an audi tech was supposed to come but he got delayed so they sent an AA tech out instead. Nice guy but could not access much with his diagnostic tablet. A few errors came up but they were showing up as unknown errors and he could not look deeper into it as I imagine Audi try and keep things under lock and key.

Can anyone understand these codes?
6669 and 6696 and these are in the driver info/ info electronics section of the diagnostics menu. Hope this makes sense.

Cheers guys

Ps also forgot to add that the reset happened again not while driving this time. Even the petrol range which was showing 50 miles range and with just 2 bars left in the fuel gauge shot up to 120 miles left and half a tank left. I think I have the first rs6 which refuels itself :biggrin3:
