Both points are correct. YES it's proper annoying that anyone thinks they have the right to take up a space not intended for them, be that Parent/Child or Disabled, but likewise to go to the effort of photographing the car & ranting on FB would lead me to think that person has other issues they themselves should be dealing with.

The couple of times i've spoken out in a car park at lazy feckers without kids who park in the Parent/Child spaces & get either a blank look or a WTF has it got to do with you, i really can't be arsed as the world has far bigger issues & lazy feckers will no doubt always be lazy.

Just frustrating that respect & manners clearly left society somewhere around 1986.

To be honest i could not give a f--k where this owner parks. But if it was me i would never park there for fear of some arsehole damaging my car. I tend to park a couple of miles away from the entrance!

To be honest, it's very rare I go to a supermarket and all the spaces are taken, so I can't see why they just can't make the spaces a bit wider anyway, and have less
Personally, I'd never park in a parent and child bay without my youngest with me, and even at 9, I'm starting to feel like I should be parking in the normal bays
People that park in disabled bays and have no blue badge really make me angry
Perhaps, I could offer my services at a local Sainsburys wheel clamping people who do this, i reckon that'd be a very satisfying job :)

I generally do have the kids with me so will use the spaces when they are available, however, when I don't have the kids, I have the same thought process as above, I wouldn't risk pissing someone off at stealing a space for fear of someone reacting badly and keying the car.

Yes the same too - generally have the children in tow as well. Would aim to park as far away from any other car as possible. Would not go in a disabled. Suppose if its a quick shop then I would go use a duel space for parent/child/parking but then Im in and out in 10 mins if a larger shop then no.

Have had so many dings from parking in car parks I think when you see an sensible sized bay available you take it (except disabled) Biggerthings for the complainer to worry about tbh.

I have no money now :( the worry is parking and dings. Might have to drop her off and go play save getting any dings

I don't get the "bigger things to complain about" comments. Surely you all moaned about something in the past? You guys who park in these places, surely there are more important things than dents to worry about????
My wife is only allowed to take the car to a shopping car park twice a year. She has to park on a work car park every day but chooses a good spot with only 1 space next to her.
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

Anyone else have a mental list in their head of the 'best' spaces for the respective car parks one visits on a regular basis? Parked in the corner, drivers side to a kerb, next to a disabled bay with hatchings etc etc

There's a corner of one of the Oracle car parks in Reading where all the 'premium' drivers (!) head to. There's one space in a corner which is 125% normal size and almost guaranteed to be ding-free. If that one's free, I tend to think the world is full of 'win' for that day.

Nowt worse than a grass. Having 3 small kids it's a pain in the hole when someone with no kids takes the space but think I'd rather confront them than be a snake.

Ha ha yep, I have been known to Google maps places before I go to get a good space. Ricoh arena, Roots hall to name a couple.
