1000bhp?

Post by S4Player » Sat Nov 21, 2015 3:21 pm

I done it with mines (Gtr) I had TTE turbos on it, great cars but massively boring after a while. Rs6 around 900hp would for me be the ultimate car
1*** hp TTE C6 rs6 saloon and the ultimate WB B5

Yeah its weird I don't miss the GTR at all.

cant wait to start playing with the RS, sounds like it will be a bit of work getting enough flow and cooling though.

Whether you choose MRC/DMS/Litchfield, once rolling with a Stage 2 tune i'd bet you the C7 RS6 would hang with an 800bhp GT-R all day long.

The GT-R may due to it's clever LC & Transmission likely get the jump off the line, but once launched their would be very little in it with the bonus inside the RS6 would be a much nicer place from which to enjoy such hooliganism:)

Not much out there re changing to intercoolers. might end up being a wee project.

It will give you a (safe/strong) 3 second car.

Always the option to go higher, but in a C7 a Stage 2 really would be more than enough & a safe tune on stock internals as already plenty out there.

Yep, I reckon, TTE850 turbos (sounds like they can do over 900bhp) remap for 800bhp. Spend some time reworking the Intercooler and pipework then go balls out with the TTE 850 turbo for around 900bhp??

I'm new to the RS world, with my other car being a LM900 GTR once over 900hp does the gearbox and/or engine not need upgrading or can it handle the power?

I believe the c6 boys do some gearbox upgrades but they are running 1000+ and silly torque on a 'stock' engine.

I can't say with any authority, but i'd suggest once approaching 800bhp you'd be wanting to apply some level of strengthening to internals.

TTE Si wrote:Just take a look at the size off the charge cooler. It's seriously restrictive in flow of airmass needed to support over 800 and cooling

Jon ollsons car had a custom upgrade charge cooler fitted. I was never shown a dyno of claims I see In media

The compressor and turbine can support 900hp + but as with any turbo it's a link in the chain and we await the right package hopefully

Cost for the above turbos??

So your TTE8xx turbos (Priced at 2899.00 euro inc vat for pair of reconditioned and upgraded)will do around 800bhp is that the turbos flat out or is it the flow restriction choking them?

This is the 1000hp RS7:

He talks about the normal RS7 for a couple of mins then looks at the tuned one.

How weird is that. I watched that video about 2 hours ago lol

Pistons, rods and gearbox can handle 1000bhp. Funny how he mentioned the GTR. Mine had a good bit over 700bhp and I must admit rods and gearbox were a worry.

No mention of what was done though I terms of increasing flow through the coolers. Seems like it is not that difficult to get there.

Looking into the cooler, its not going to be easy. Deffo not a diy. Looking at the intakes there is no easy hose connection, would need to be something fabricated. Looks like I will have to wait until some tuning company sorts out an upgrade.

Even trying to fit a larger CC there seems little to be gained. Might look at the water side to keep temps down but if flow is also restricted there will be little gain
