Looking at other RS6's with 63 reg plates, this car is underpriced in comparison. Cheapest I had seen recently was £57k for a July 13 car. Have a look at what 2010 60 reg cars are selling for to get an idea of what its value is going to be like in 3yrs.

I bought mine new in Feb 2014. The configurator price was roughly £88k and I got it for about £78k. Just over six months later I sold it (trade in) for £68k which was the best deal I could find, most offers were £2k less than that. I doubt the car would have depreciated a great deal more if I'd hung on for another six months... so £20k, or a little more, from list for a reasonably specced up car in year one is where I was at in 2014.

It looks like the cheapest brand new car can be had for £66.5k with discount so yeah 2nd hand values should fall a little, however, due to the high priced options list on the optioned up RS6's they don't seem to be. There are 2yr old cars being advertised for anywhere between £55-65k, some higher end cars being advertised for £90k+, seems strange for sure given the discounts available.

Like i said, Used prices will always reflect new prices, so when the new cars were not discounted the used prices reflected that. Now the new price is substantially lower, all used cars will fall in line & drop accordingly. The C7 RS6 is no more exempt from a heavy fall in values than any other car in it's class. This has always been the case with M's/RS's/AMG's. The starting points can of course differ as BMW chose to support the M5/M6 at launch whereas Audi are only really doing the same now, but the end result will be the same as is always the case.

GT-R's for whatever reason are fairing better than most expected & i only lost £10k in the 12mths i owned mine with is circa 15% & my lowest drop to date. Values are still holding well comparably, but the best value cars are still the MY09/MY10 as they were £15-20k lower new than the current standard model.

The simple reason why i've Leased/Contract Hired my last 2 cars as can safely say both cars have cost me far less than their depreciation so basic man maths equals free.

New Audi A8 TDi Quattro SE i paid £11,600 over 2yrs (including deposit) that had a list price just below £60k
New F10 M5 i'll have paid £21,800 over 3yrs (including deposit) that had a list price just below £80k

Lost so much on previous cars i'm not even comfortable writing them all down in fear of crying.

Banished to the darker areas of my memory in fear of reprisals.

From memory the worst %age wise was a D2 S8 that i bought for £50k & sold less than 12mths later for £33k. Also bought a D3 A8 4.2 Quattro Sport for £35k & sold 6mths later for £26k. My B7 RS4 i had for 2yrs (from new) & only lost about £12k, however the C5 RS6 previous to that i lost about £15k in 12mths.

All told though & a guide to the discussion topic here, i've never suffered any depreciation losses of the same scale as this RS.

Almost. Exige S. Didn't have all the options though. Could have had more expensive paint and it didn't have the race pack.

Also, I PXed it instead of selling privately.

I did just about everything wrong that I could possibly have done wrong.
