any changes since launch?

Emissions? <cough> VAG? <cough>
Re: any changes since launch?
Quite. I bought my RS6 because of its environmental credentials and claimed fuel economy and now I feel duped.

Is that so?Markp wrote:All lower tax bracket now - irrespective of wheel size. So something has changed.doodlebug wrote:I think it's more to do with number fudging around wheel sizes and a change in the regulation. As tax group is meant to go up with 21s. There's no actual change to the car.
Re: any changes since launch?
It's an interesting question that I would love to hear the answer to. The only people who can answer it (outside of Audi UK) are people who have just taken delivery of an RS6 on 21" wheels.
When I ordered mine (Nov 2014, delivery March 2015), the car had just dropped from 229gkm to 223gkm but the effect of the 21" wheels was uncertain. On the S6, for which Audi did publish figures, adding 20" wheels - up from the standard 19", raised the out put from 219gkm to 224gkm, so I was wary of the 21" wheels taking the RS6 back over the 225 threshold. In the end, the dealer assured me that the wheels wouldn't change the official rating of 223, and when my V5 came through, sure enough, I was in the sub-225 tax band.
But now, when you go on the RS6 configurator, a click-to-continue warning tells you that adding optional wheels may change the CO2 figure. However, I see this morning that, if you spec up an S6 with optional wheels, the CO2 figure in the configurator changes, but it doesn't if you spec up an RS6 with 21" wheels.

All 223 for MY 16 according to dealer when I bought mine. Anyway - enough emissions.....doodlebug wrote:Is that so?Markp wrote:All lower tax bracket now - irrespective of wheel size. Re: any changes since launch?
The facelift RS6 also had a software update as I understand.
For example, on the FL you can have the satnav in the centre display as well as on the large screen from the dash.

Re: any changes since launch?
That's hardware, not software. Similarly connectivity supports LTE/4G post FL.
