This was all at the end of feb the sales guy said he would call at the end of the march but I got giddy and phoned him on the 25th for an update, the guy said everything was on plan and the car was due in production week 13 in a couple of weeks time :bash: , it was week 13 I informed him :bash: :bash:

Anyhows he rang yesterday as promised with the above information and has promised agin to ring next Wednesday with a further update.

Although i currently have every faith in this guy he rang again this morning and left a message asking me to come in at 14:00 today!!! I figured he might have contacted me in error as I don't believe these cars are freighted by air :bash: there must be another Kieran with an RS6 on order from the same dealership!
Hopefully they got things wrong and your car has actually arrived

Well I got the promised phonecall again today. Unfortunately there has been no change in the cars status, still showing at the docks (as it was on the 29/02). I have another scheduled update planned in for next Monday.

That's a shame, my car was at the docs last Wednesday but I didn't even get my promised update call from Audi :audibash:

Ha haaa - check out my posts over on RS4 B8 parmd sounds like you are as, erm excited and anxious as I am.

My Car is also at Emden, confirmed today.

The cars can goto one of three ports, usual choice being Grimsby, Grimsby is currently managing a 2000 car backlog (you can get 8 cars on a transport)

Looks like my car is coming into Sheerness, now from what I can tell that's a really good thing, a very efficient port which gets cars moving very quickly indeed.

Mine has delivery date 28th on the order form, I'm still fingers crossed we'll make that date!!

Good Luck!

I have not been given an indication yet as to how long from port to dealer but my goal has always been a 01/05/15 delivery date so they have 11 days.

My car was showing at Emden right up to Friday last week and must have only changed over the weekend/this morning. The salesman has been good and assures me he has been checking its status everyday? I am going in to the dealer on Saturday to get everything signed up in anticipation. Typically it looks like I'm going to be out of the country for the majority of next week and the following week so even if I return to the uk on the 1st and it's ready for collection I'll only have it for 2 days before I need to leave it in my wife's capable hands :bash:

I don't know how people have waited 3,4,5 months plus as the last 10 weeks have been hell, not helped by me giving my other ride back to audi at the end of Feb.

Fingers crossed the system hasn't updated for you and it will be ready for Monday :kissmyrings:

Kieran

I know - this has turned a hardened businessman into an emotional wreck (me!) chuckle for me it;s my first monster car since my 911TT which I had 5 years ago..... So during a 4year, 10 month wait I have been cool - the last 8 weeks have been TORTURE - my wife thinks I've moved from Women to cars..... lol

Just wanna let you guys know and hopefully if you have ordered gloss black optics that you get everything black including your rear diffuser lip. I say this cause my car came with a silver lip. Audi said it was build spec correct but after moaning loads they have changed it to black now and sort of said it MAY have been a misbuild. No liability accepted but they did it FOC.

Personally guys - I think you may actually get these, I'm starting to believe that Audi have some sort of a Month 1 Sales Drive on - i.e. cash in Bank. covered on the B8 Forum

I concur, my dealer mentioned that they really need it to be delivered before the end of the month but didn't elaborate on it. Well here's hoping it goes to plan, on the plus side it only cost me £750 for the year to insure with admiral
