haven't driven yet a C7, but just as Golfather said, indeed the jump from C5 to C6 was huge and i am glad i did it. If money were for free i would've probably went the C7 route :), though i prefer the loon over the Avant, not that the shape has kept me from buying it...i drove the S6 C7 and i wasn't blown away, i know the RS is different, but i am sure is just as smooth and with no drama, so imo at the moment i don't think it does worth the extra big chunk of money over the C6.

I think each iteration of the RS6 has been a significant improvement for many reasons.

The improved handling of the C7 over the C6 is vast, & the straight line pace difference (stock vs. stock) is again massive. The improvement in cabin/tech isn't as bigger leap as it was from the C5-C6, but they've still done a great job in most areas.

My only bugbear is they ditched the Saloon variant with the C7 & that's the most significant reason i jumped ship as i'm not a fan of estates & have no need for the extra space. That said, BMW did away with the Touring variant of the M5 with the latest iteration which of course is no coincidence:)

I really don't like estate cars, but compared to the abomination that is the A7 i'd take an Avant :audibash:

No expert on the technical aspects but i thought the A7 platform was larger than the A6 so although the RS variants share the same engine, the RS7 has more in common with the S8 (which i've always loved)

Really? That does surprise me. I know the body composition of the A8 is totally different & i've owned several, but i thought the floorpan on the A7 was larger than the A6 so must be shared with the A8.

A8 is all ali too. A6/A7 family have the same interior, the '8 interior, is in another league.

To be honest, if I won the lottery, Id have an rs6 to take the rubbish to the dump, an rs7 as my daily running and a 991 gt3 rs in the garage! Wife would need a convertible, m4? Maybe a Bentley?

Errrrm you'd retain the wife after winning the lottery? I'd just buy a 10 berth yacht and travel the world looking for girls that I'd 'allow' on said yacht.
When the yacht was full, I'd board it and not leave until I was shooting dust.

But hey, get a convertible for the wife if you must...

I mean the floorpan as isn't the A7/A8 floorpan the same? I know the A8 is Aluminium & has a very different interior but thought the footprint was shared with the A7.

Just checked & it's sat on it's own floorplan, between the 6 & 8 so not shared. I learn something new every day.

A famous NBA star always insisted on rainbows. During the course of a night in the club's, girls would hit on him but he'd turn them away explaining they'd need two more girls to make up ' the rainbow', so they'd go and find a blonde, brunette or a redhead. He always went home with a rainbow.

So, aren't you forgetting something?
