Firstly the "secondary cats" are empty chambers not Cats at all! The car now sounds perfect to me. A deeper tone and a little more volume at low revs. Higher revs / on boast noticeably louder but not crazy compared with what I'm used to. I have left the valves disconnected for now but will see after a motorway run but running around town and a few blasts just sounds perfect! :)
Andy, so have have you found the exhaust note after living with it for a while? Have you reconnected the valves? Noticed any drone? For day to day driving and motorway cruising is it ok or too loud?

I know that was directed at Andy but I'm loving mine more and more. Pretty much perfect for me. Valves still disconnected. Not too loud that it wakes everyone up in the morning but loud enough to be heard when driving. Fine on the motorway too. And even better when driving with the windows open.

I'm sure we've all been validating the above for you for about three damn weeks now! Get it bloody booked in and annoy some neighbours with it! ImageImage

Mike, are you happy with the way it is or not quite loud enough for you? I'm toying with the idea of playing with the back boxes.

For now I'm happy with the volume. I get a lot of attention from police when driving 'furiously' so don't want to draw too much attention.

Thinking of going Milltek non res and was wondering, for those of you who have changed your exhaust, have you kept the original one?

No idea how I'd get it hone as I doubt it fits in the boot!

Original will not fit in your boot as it does not come apart (too wide). You could potentially cut it-but not recommended. Best bet is to get your milltek fitted locally(ish) and then put the oem system in a trailer or large van.

I presume it's wise to keep the original to put back on the car when I want to sell it as a Milltek could negatively effect resale value?

I fitted the very same yesterday. Hmmm, not quite lol

Yes keeping original to put back for selling

Not fitted my de-catted downpipes yet, will be even louder once they are on.

Sounds good Paul. Is that just the Milltek or the decats too? I assume that is with cats still?
