I'd like the response of sport/manual, and full exhaust noise, without the popping and banging. Too formulaic and contrived, IMO. exact same sounds every time you lift past a certain point on throttle.
One possible way around this is to drive the car like you stole it all the time! Image if you notice, when in manual mode and doing a lot of hard accelerating/down shifting, the pops and bangs will occasionally stop. I believe this is the EGTs are exceeding the set temps so it cuts the pops and bangs part of the mapping until the temps have fallen back into the range. So there you go, drive it like a mad man!

No not yet, too busy driving it! I can get you one though. The only problem is, it'll only be as good as your speakers you're playing it back through.

Just a short static rev. Sounds quite a lot better driving it though.. Can't seem to upload it here. It's on Instagram

No video from me, and unlikely to get one within next 2 weeks now.
Been out again today, had the 2 front windows open and driving along a narrow road and it sounded great.
On the motorway there was no drone, well I certainly coulnd't hear it over the music even at a low level. At 90 in 8th gear the engine is barely ticking over (under 2k rpm) unless accelerating it was quiet.
Just like it did on th RS4, I think the centre res delete is turning out to be the best exhaust option for me. I'm just glad I tried it out first before spending so much money on different systems (like I did with the 4).

Have they sorted the wheels now then? If you use the same guy I did let me know which day and we can try and catch up as in only down the road. Find out how much difference the sport back box makes!

Yes wheels and everything sorted now. Salesman sent me a video and the car is looking spot on. I'm told will be delivered on Friday. Will be sure to let you know when getting the exhaust done and can meet up. Will def use same guy. Might be a few weeks till I get the time to do it though, super busy with work....

I agree, if you are driving a black sleeper (debadge etc)then the parping is not the goal. Unobtrusive tarmac shredding is the goal. Having said that a deeper and more bombastic tone would not go amiss.

I'm considering a Milltek non res exhaust as the sports exhaust is just a bit tame for my liking, but am slightly concerned it will be too loud! Is it fairly 'quiet' in comfort mode? And is there any drone at motorway speeds?

The other option is to get the resonated version. Has anyone heard this in the flesh? Is it much louder than the sports exhaust?

Thanks

Not too loud IMO fella.

And get don't seem to get drone.

Just close valves to quieten down simples.

Only negative for me is the two round tails pipes either side you can see
Through ovals.....look a bit "aftermarket"....OEM outlets look better IMO
