I think it's in the MMI manual. It changed over the years so no point in me looking at mine.

Is it not possible to start the car, for example in the summer to let the AC cool the car, and close the car? I am pressing the close button on the remote, but nothing happens.

Have you left a spare key in the car? It won't let you lock the car with a key in the car. Perhaps it also won't let you lock the car with the engine running as this is illegal. I can do it with my remote start alarm though.

I'm sure you can lock it with the blade key and lock it in the old fashioned key in door lock. I certainly can in the SQ5.

Lol yea I'd bet people's had forgotten they have a blade key. During the winter I'd lock the Mrs and kid in the back of the car left running/ heating on, if I popped into somewhere, so I'd just pull the blade out and lock from the barrel.

On a slightly related note, did you know you can turn the heating back on after you turn the engine off to keep the car warm while you pop into shops etc.

I'll have to dig the manual out but it is pressing one of the heater button for a few seconds after turning the engine off.

Also, gave the car a quick wash earlier and tried the folding mirror thing from the B8 thread and it worked a treat (fold mirrors forward when washing), by the time I dried the car and put the mirrors back to normal position there was barely any water left to drip down the door!!

Hi guys,

I will need to change the front shocks soon because they are starting to leak, but OEM is about 2000Euros for both. Any other manufacturer that makes them for the DRC version?

Thank you
