Gearbox oil change @ 83,000 miles

Hi all,

Just thought I would share my results after changing my gearbox oil.

The difference between the old and new oil is night and day. Smoothness is noticeably better and the duration between gears is much snappier. Far better now and well worth doing. Isn’t a hard job either.

My car full Audi service history 2015 on 83,000 miles.

If your rs6 is similar mileage I would highly recommend doing it.

Hi - yes, well worth doing. Mine was last done at 135K miles so now I'm on 181K Miles I guess I'll be forking out again!

It’s unbelievable Audi say the oil is lifelong.

I called a specialist to get a price to do this job but they responded with ‘ we don’t have a price to do that job because Audi say the gearbox is lifelong’!!!!!

Personally I would go every 60,000 at most.
