v10 engine - what to do with an old engine to make track ready

Post by marksal » Wed May 14, 2025 12:43 pm

Hi
I am looking at buying a RS6 v10 and want to use it as a track day car. So need to make it fast as possible and mechanically sound, so it does not blow-up.

What do I need to do with it? What to look out for?

Bearings, piston ring

Do i need to have steel sleaves put in the head?

Can i make it more like a lambo engine by changing parts?

So guidence would be great before burning lots of money on the wrong parts etc.

Thank you for your help.

Wrong forum mate - you need the C6 forum - most on here are V8 folk!.
Good luck with your project :-)
