Warped discs and pads - advice required

Sorry to hear your woes. I remember reading that drill holes get blocked up with deposits and they can be the culprit of vibrations under braking. By drilling out the holes this cleaning them out stops the vibrations. It’s got to be worth a try for a free bar time taken.

Please let us know if you try it. And what the result is.

Apparently the brake caliper brackets and bell housing were out of whack - just had the new pads on (rear) and it feels silky smooth, at lower speeds but at 70kmh there was ever so slight vibration - which I assume is the old brake pad residue still on the discs?

I’ve had a rs6 c7 for 2 years now and I to got the brake judder really bad,in my case and you won’t believe it it was all down to the wheel cleaner I was using,turned the disks red with the active stuff in it as I was spraying the wheels,messing up the pad transfer and making them judder bad,once bedded back in abit they were fine,I’ve had the disks glowing hot and have never warped them,brake fade yes but once cooled back to normal

Thanks to this thread, I am trying new hubs, brake hoses and also get the callipers stripped and reconditioned. I’ve had two sets of discs and pads now and the vibration comes back after around 6,000 miles. Local garage has spotted one of the pistons is sticking so it’s an ideal opportunity to strip it all bare and hopefully avoid the cost of another set of discs.
