Just trying to gauge opinions here as ive only had my rs6 for 1 year now
So this is especially noticeable when the tyres are cold and incidentally my tires are very low on grip as well and will be replaced in the next month
Get a very noticeable "judder" when turning that Ill admit is a horrible feeling/sound as it really does feel like something is about to break. Worst when at full lock....A few people are telling me this is normal for the quattro system and is something that gets worse as the tyres get low on tread but wanted to check here as well to see what people think
Thanks!
Juddering on tight turns
Re: Juddering on tight turns
It's not the Quattro system, it is simply very wide tyres on a cold day. My RWD Mercedes before this Audi did exactly the same thing. The outer edge of the tyre is moving across the road surface at a different speed to the inner edge when on full lock. The tyre's rubber is too cold to flex.

Re: Juddering on tight turns
I noticed this when i have mine first which was on P-Zeros, it was so bad i thought i had quattro problems, when i changed to Michelin PS4s the issue was greatly reduced,
Re: Juddering on tight turns
Ditto this, the PS4's have completely eliminated it for me. When I first got my RS6 it had mis-matched wear across the front axel (one new tyre, one at 5mm) which exacerbated the issue moreso compared to when I had a pair of new PZero's put on the front.
Re: Juddering on tight turns
on ps2 here, it does it as well.
