Re: Re: Engine Misfire P0306 - FIXED....
That's the N205 valve. They are known tob a bit flaky on other VAG models, and is the same part mumber used. When my wife had a Mk5 Golf GTI a few years ago, was replaced a couple of times. Dealer told me they had a bad manufacturing batch. That was over 10 years ago, so hopefully the newer ones are better.

Re: Engine Misfire P0306 - advice appreciated....
What means those codes on carista app? 10203 and 10596?Lig wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 9:53 amSo did a google and downloaded OBD Auto Doctor and this shows the misfire counts.
Interestingly tho' it shows cylinder 8 having more counts than 6 (the others have very low or 0).
I am no engineer, but maybe 'some' misfires are normal and the ECU 'manages' these...??
But because it flagged an error with Cylinder 6 (when the EPC light came on, and the car ran rough) then I still plan to change the ignition coil on 6 and we will see how it goes...

Re: Re: Engine Misfire P0306 - FIXED....
Hi Tadass,
I 'think' they are generic codes for engine misfires.
My understanding is that in general there will be some misfires and the engine management 'manages' this.
IF your Engine warning light (EPC) is not coming on, and all is running fine, then no problem. But if you are experiencing physical misfires and the car is not running smooth, then you need to investigate further. I would recommend downloading the 'OBD Auto Doctor' app, as this will show you the misfire count and on which cylinders (please see my posts in this thread).
I hope this helps.

Re: Re: Engine Misfire P0306 - FIXED....
Thanks for information, I don’t have a check engine light, but with my carista I tried scan and got 10622 code, I tried removing it but it always comes again, car runs fine no issues, obd auto doctor not sees anything.
Re: Re: Engine Misfire P0306 - FIXED....
Thats strange that OBD Auto Doc doesn't show any misfires? Have you looked at the 'On-board Diagnostics Monitors' (example images earlier in this thread). As I would expect it would show some misfire counts even though it states 'Passed'.... With my issue, Carista flagged up an error with Cylinder 6 misfiring but OBD AD showed more misfires on Cylinder 8. When I got it checked with VCDS this also showed the problem with cylinder 8. From my experience I would use the Carista as just a guide...

Re: Re: Engine Misfire P0306 - FIXED....
When i scan with Carista i only get this code 10622 with obd auto doctor I don’t get anything
Re: Engine Misfire P0306 - FIXED....
That is strange that there are no misfires at all showing up in OBD AD??!!
If the car is running fine with no EPC light then I would ignore it as it could be a glitch??!!
Sorry I cant help any further?!
Cheers

I might be having the same issue. Check my latest post via my profile.
Same misfire on cylinder 6. I have changed and checked everything. Even replaced the fuel injectors. Does anyone know where this Exhaust Camshaft Valve Adjuster is located and what the oem or part number is that i should order?
