Side by side with G80 M3

Post by stevo55 » Mon Nov 29, 2021 7:29 pm

Took the new RS to get PPF, tints and Dechroming today and had an opportunity to do a side by side pic with a new M3 Comp.
Even with a Matt finish and blacked out grille it still just doesn’t look right.
BMW dangled the M3/4 carrot to me a few months back but I just cannot get on with this massive grille pi5h. They have ruined some great cars imo and the C7 really stands the test of time.
Place where the 6 went into told me that a German firm is now selling a remodelled grille that changes the look for the M3.
In my book that tells me there is a market for people who hate the grille but to me why should you have to do that in the first place?
I’m sure it will be a complete weapon and a brilliant handling car but the look really sells a car and to me it’s ‘no sale’

Love the C7 but the BM looks like it would kick its arse in a fight!
Think it looks well hard with the C7 in comparison looking like it’s had a few pies now it’s got older!

God knows what BMW were thinking when they agreed to that grille.
It looks even worse with the reg plate right across the centre albeit that it covers some of the grille up.

Oh no doubt the M3 would run rings around the C7…different type of car though. Every M car I have owned have been phenomenal steers. It pains me to see this new ‘controversial’ (ga5h) look. Alpina have the right idea plus you get exclusivity as well.
