Latest service / MMI update

Post by sasha320 » Fri Oct 30, 2020 11:19 pm

Just had a dealer service and with it got a software update.

Unsurprisingly the dealer had no idea what was in it - does anyone else know?

C7 2015 facelift is the car, 47k on the clock full Audi service history.

Any answers welcome!

Sounds boring...

I was of course hoping that the patch would suddenly bring to life a whole raft of latent features like full hands off go to sleep autopilot, reduce 0 to 60 by a second, full intercontinental flight capability and of course Apple CarPlay...

Ho hum

At least the Bluetooth seems to have stopped dropping out (well that happened before the Audi update must have been an IOS patch...)

I'm more worried it would break my carplay "activation" via our friend on telegram. That would just piss me off.

Audi offered me an MMI update, I asked them not to do it for that very reason.

I’ve declined mine too. In the fear that it would erase the CarPlay activation. The dealer couldn’t assure me that it wouldn’t erase it.

So Audi dealers don’t know what is software update for, it’s so lame
