Just renewed Audi Extended Warranty... Result!!

Hi all,

Bought my car this time last year (from a specialist) and took out Audi warranty from Audi website at an eye watering cost of £1083. Phoned them yesterday to ask if they would send me a renewal but they told me that I just had to go and apply again online and to do it a month before it runs out (which is 18th July)... So went on and got a quote (noticed that it did say 'we will contact you before your renewal date'??) ... same cover as last year but with 6K more miles (All component cover, 10K max miles, £250XS) and got a quote for £566.... Well happy with that!

I think this is because it is already in warranty and when I applied last year it had no warranty.

SO my advice is not to wait to see if they send you a renewal, but to do it yourself online (you can set the start date to match with your end date - providing its not sooner than 30 days), and hopefully you will get a good deal??!!

Always good to have a warranty Lig!!

I took an independent warranty out when I bought mine last year. Warranty was with Autoguard. Premium warranty was £1500 for 2 years. When I had the turbo failure they paid out 7k of the 8k bill with very little issues. I did get the PCV valve done, new oil feed pipes and turbo oil strainer done at the same time so there was additional costs outwith the warrant items.
